The late Howard Viele was an exceptional custom knifemaker with a style all his own. One of his most distinctive collaborations with Spyderco was the Phoenix, a dynamic folding knife design that showcased their patented Ball Bearing Lock. As a tribute to Viele, Spyderco is honored to rekindle this classic model as a limited-edition Sprint Run, featuring a hollow-ground VG-10 blade, full titanium liners, contoured red G10 scales, and a right-side, tip-up pocket clip. Like all Viele designs, it also proudly includes his signature pattern of three holes near the spine of the blade.
