The business end of this amazingly capable knife consists of a full-flat-ground CombinationEdge™ blade that offers powerhouse cutting performance on all types of materials, including rope and webbing. Machined from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, it features a durable black oxide coating and the byrd brand’s signature Comet-shaped hole for rapid, fully ambidextrous one-handed opening. A hefty all-stainless-steel handle supports the blade and houses the sturdy back lock mechanism that secures it in the open position. Unlike earlier generations of this model, this version features screw-together construction that ensures precise alignment and adjustment of all parts for optimal performance. Its four-position pocket clip can be attached to either side or either end of the handle and, together with the knife’s other features, makes its carry and operation completely ambidextrous.
